Returns & Refund Policy

At Home Theori, we take immense pride in the artisanal quality and handcrafted nature of our products. Because many of our pieces are made to order or feature natural materials like bone, wood, and cane, we strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.

1. 7-Day Return Window

We offer a 7-day return policy. You have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it.

  • Unused and unassembled.

  • In its original packaging (this is vital for furniture and lighting to ensure safe transit).

2. Damages and Issues (The "Artisan Guarantee")

Please inspect your order upon reception. Since our products are Made in India and often involve delicate hand-carved inlay or weaving, small variations in wood grain or pattern are a mark of authenticity and are not considered defects.

However, if an item arrives damaged or broken:

  • Contact us immediately at admin@home-theori.com with your order number.

  • You must provide clear photos and videos of the damage and the packaging within 48 hours of delivery.

  • We will evaluate the issue and, at our discretion, offer a replacement, a professional repair, or a full refund.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom or Bespoke Orders: Any item made to specific dimensions or personalized specifications.

  • Sale Items: Items purchased during a clearance or "Final Sale" event.

  • Gift Cards.

4. Return Shipping

  • Change of Mind: If you are returning an item for reasons other than damage (e.g., it doesn't fit the space as expected), the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

  • Large Furniture: For items like bedside chests or coffee tables, we recommend using a tracked, insured freight service, as we cannot refund items lost or damaged during return transit.

5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval status.

  • Approved Returns: If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

  • Note: Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

6. Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at admin@home-theori.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
